Underwater

“Where we are going, we will need to warm ourselves.
Vart är vi på väg! vi kommer att behöva värma oss.”

This painting is an invitation to voyage into silence. The lone sailboat, painted in shades of deep shadow,
glides over an endless turquoise sea — a horizon without end, a path without map.
The still water holds its reflection gently, like memory holding onto a fleeting moment.

The work carries a sense of solitude, yet not loneliness — rather, a meditative pause in time.

and the warmth we must carry with us when the winds turn colder.
